The new website, HairLibrary.com, is a social commerce platform designed to match consumers with the right hair-care products. The site uses an algorithm, based on user-generated content, to match a user’s hair type and texture with the products they need.

The site’s community of users share reviews of 1,000+ hair-care products, and can add video hair tutorials. Users can tag by sharing their hair story, which follows the products throughout the library, helping to inspire and guide others along their own hair journey.

Morgan R. Gantt, the website’s founder and CEO, created the site in an effort to create a better way to make buying decisions when searching for hair care products. She
commented:

“The method of trial and error in beauty, especially hair, is an expensive undertaking and can also be very damaging to your hair. Throughout my travels around the world it became apparent how widespread hair struggles are for all people of different ethnic backgrounds and hair types, exclusive of my own personal experiences.”

Users can also shop on HairLibrary.com, which has partnered with brands that include Kimble Beauty, Dry Divas, ColdLabel, LisaRaye Hair Products, Mixtina and Basic Hair Care.
